Tunas Hijau together with the Surabaya City Government held an action to clean the 2019 Family Cleanup Coastal Coast of Surabaya Wedi Pond, mangrove area, Sunday (10/20/2019). This activity is in collaboration with East Java Kwarda, Healthy City Forum, Surabaya Voice Radio, Radio She, Jawa Pos, Surya Sembada PDAM and Mercure Grand Mirama Surabaya Hotel.
In total 13,491 people, more than 3070 families took part in the clean-up action as part of the 2019 Surabaya Eco School. The family that follows consists of at least 2 members. Many also still participate without family.
More than 4 trucks of garbage were collected during the action. "That much garbage is mostly plastic waste. Among straws, product packaging sachets, cigarette butts, bottles, diapers, nets, cloths and toothbrushes. The main thing is that all kinds of garbage produced at home can be found on this coast, "said Fatih Abdul Aziz, Director of Surabaya Eco School 2019 after the action.

Various Surabaya Mayor awards are provided at this 2019 Surabaya Family Cleanup. Among the schools with the most families participating in the primary school category, school families with the most families participating in the junior high school category, the most active elementary school families, the most active junior high schools, families with the most unique costumes, and various other awards.

In this 2019 Family Cleanup, each individual member of the participating team is also asked to bring food and drinks in repeated packages. The aim is to minimize new non-organic waste from participants.
Rattan baskets are also used to collect garbage collected from the coast and transferred to garbage trucks. Then the garbage truck will move the rubbish to the Benowo landfill.
The 2019 Family Cleanup is also supported by Grand Shamaya PT PP Properti, Golden Tulip Surabaya Hotel, Ibis Surabaya City Center Hotel and Novotel Samator Surabaya Hotel.
